Churches in Colan Parish

St Colan: St. Colanus

Nr Quintrell Downs, Newquay Truro
07478732212

Welcome to the parish church of St Colan in the Anglican Diocese of Truro and county of Cornwall England

St. Colan Church is a paradise of prayer and informality tucked away so deep that you'd have to really want to find it to discover it. Set in its own graveyard which balances neatness with a concern for wildlife it is the epitomy of rural England and its history. With a bullet hole in one of the lead plaques, it offers a uniqueness that is matched in its liturgy.
Blending a diverse number of traditions into a relaxed and spiritual service, combined with preaching styles that aim to communicate the relevance of the Gospel of Christ within modern society.
Since the mid-twentieth century the Church has been served by the Vicar of St. Columb Minor and there is increasing links between the two.

We hope after this cyber visit you will feel inspired to visit us, and the rest of Cornwall in person.
With every blessing of grace and peace;

from the congregation
